Villarreal boss, Unai Emery has described Super Eagles international, Samuel Chukwueze’s return to form as great news for the club.
According to the former Arsenal boss “Chukwueze’s return is news for the future of the team in this final part of the season.”
The Spaniards added that the team were “beginning to see the Chukwueze that most fans knew and that this year for some reasons we had not seen.”
The Super Eagles attacker overcame a groin injury, which needed surgery after it compromised his performances over time.
And despite the Yellow Marines’ defeat to Atletico Madrid at the weekend, the Nigerian forward was the most dangerous player on the pitch.
Also speaking about the player, popular sports figure, Javier Mata of AS newspaper pointed out that Chukwueze was back to his best.
“After his problems and surgery, the best of Chukwueze in a long time was seen against Atletico,” Mata said.
“From his arrival at Villarreal, it was clear he was a special player. His speed and the ease with which he went past his marker made him grow very fast in the team.
“The team had found a special player, a great footballer.”
