Kano First Lady Disburses Ten Thousand Naira to 1,000 Karaye LGA Indigenes




The Kano State first Lady Professor Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has disbursed the sum of ten thousand naira each to one thousand people in Karaye local government area of the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by, Haruna Gunduwawa,Information Officer,
Karaye emirate council, Kano state.

The statement explained that, the beneficiaries drawn from the ten wards of the local government area, comprises of four hundred males and six hundred female respectively.

Speaking while disbursing the funds at the colorful ceremony held at the Karaye local Secretariat Professor Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said,  the amount of money given to them is free capital to boost their individual trades.

She announced that, no fewer than twelve local government area  in Kano State so far benefitted from the such scheme

Professor Hafsat Ganduje maintained that, the gesture is part of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s led Administration commitments towards ensuring that, people especially those at the grassroot levels are earning a good social and economic living.

“Her Excellency has therefore charged the beneficiaries to ensure judicial use of the funds to achieve the set goals.”,  the statement added.

She called on the teaming women and Youth in the  state to continue to rally round the Ganduje’s administration for more economic empowerment and other viable initiatives.

The wife of the Governor used the occasion to applauded the Chairman of Karaye local government Alhaji Balarabe Isyaku Yusuf for the remarkable achievements recorded barely one hundred and two days of taking over the leadership mentor of local government.

Adding that, seventy types of projects executed by Chairman in the said Short period of time is indeed applaudable.

Speaking at the occasion the Commissioner for local governments and Chieftaincy’s Affairs Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo applauded Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje commitments on the security, to this the Commissioner rated the state as most peacful  in the federation.

Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo also reaffirmed the commitment towards the completion ofthe Kankare to Kabo to Karaye road construction project next year.

In his remarks the Commissioner of History and Culture Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Karaye Madaki of Karaye praised Governor Ganduje for his approval to establish Karaye emirate community college of education initiated by his Royal Highness the Emir of Karaye Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Abubakar II as well as School of Islamic studies.

The Madaki of Karaye also thanked Governor Ganduje and his wife for the love and affection they for the good people of Karaye local government area challenging those criticising trend to redress their thinking.

Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Karaye assured the people’s continued support and cooperation at all costs.

Earlier, in his welcome address the Chairman of Karaye local government Alhaji Balarabe Isyaku Yusuf said, his Council has so far executed seventy projects out of seven hundred projects pledged to undertake in its three years tenure.

Also speaking, the Royal Father if the ceremony District Head of Karaye the Magajin Gari of Karaye Engr. Shehu Ahmed applauded the first Lady for her on common people especially the woman forks.

Responding on behalf of the other beneficiaries Hajiya Halima Tudun Kaya appreciated the gesture and assured of proper use of the funds.

Others spoke at the occasion includes the Zonal APC Women leader Hajiya Yahanasu Buba,  Kano State Women leader Habiba Garba Yandalla and Alhaji Muhammadu Danzara Chairman Karaye local government APC caretaker Committee among others.

The first Lady has earlier paid a visit to the Emir of Karaye Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Abubakar II in his palace to seek his blessings.

Receiving the first Lady Professor Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Emir of Karaye Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Abubakar II described her as great woman who always wish her husband to success.

The Emir prayed the Almighty Allah continued guidance and protection to government and the people of Kano State and county as a whole.
