According to the frontline legal practitioner, many Boko Haram insurgents have turned to bandits.
He said that this is why the issue of suicide bombings have stopped as the country no more experience burning of religious houses.
Speaking with DAILY POST on raging insecurity in the where school children are being kidnapped and their abductors demanding ransom, Bamgbose noted that “Banditry has become very attractive and acceptable to them, so they have embraced it.
The 2023 presidential hopeful, therefore, called on the National Assembly to immediately begin the process for a national security summit.
“It’s against this ugly trend that it will be imperative to immediately come up with a National Security Summit, NSS, to invite stakeholders to come out with blueprints on how to find a lasting solution to this intractable insecurity challenges befalling this nation.
“The Summit will go a long way to address the issue of insecurity in Nigeria. Relying solely on security agents inputs may lead us to nowhere. We need to collectively brainstorm on the best way out.”
