Governor Yahaya Bello’s outriders on Saturday dazzled hundreds of Kano residents that lined major streets to welcome the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo to the coronation of
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the 15th Fulani Emir of Kano.
Yahaya Bello, alongside 8 of his colleagues were among the long list of VIP’s in Kano that witnessed the historic ceremony at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The young and brilliant outriders had taken over the security of the long column of convoy from Kano Government House through Lodge road by Race course to connect the strategic Sabon Gari flyover to the airport.
The outriders whose names could not be ascertained as at press time mesmerised curious onlookers with breath taking manoeuvres during the 20 minutes drive to the airport.
The outriders who enjoyed applauees from the spectators played the lead role in convoy of long column of vehicles as they occasionally took forays deep inside the route only to return in a moment to provide security cover at strategic junctions along the way.
Bello’s outriders confidence in a home far from home might not be unconnected to the mammoth crowd of Ebira Community that welcome their boss, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello to the commercial city on Friday evening.
The Ebira people residents in Kano had mobilized in thousands to welcome their son to the city where they enjoined the status of a native due largely to inter marriage between the host community.
Bello’s triumphant entrant to the ancient city on Friday boost his popularity among Kano residents as his colourful and intimidating posters adorned major streets in the city.
Isa Musa, a resident who watched the smart display of the outriders told Prime Time News that ” I’ve seen in real life today what is usually available on cable stations”
He said “they are smart, brilliant, security conscious as they left nothing uncovered in their assigned duties.”
