The abductors of the wife of Salawu Areokuta, the youth leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, are yet to contact the family, five days after the incident.
DAILY POST gathered that some gunmen suspected to be kidnappers had on Sunday kidnapped Arikeade Oni-Salawu at the gate of her residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, around 10 pm on Sunday.
Our correspondent gathered that Oni-Salawu, who was returning from work, alighted from her workplace ambulance to open the gate when armed men suddenly emerged and kidnaped her.
The incident occurred at Aromolaran area, old Ife Road in Ibadan, DAILY POST gathered.
Our correspondent however gathered on Friday that the family of the victim are yet to be contacted by those who kidnapped her.
Publicity Secretary of APC, Dr. Abdulaziz Olatunde, who spoke with DAILY POST, noted that all efforts to know the whereabouts of the victim have not yielded results.
Olatunde told DAILY POST that the family of the victim are yet to be contacted as at Friday.
“They are yet to free her. They are yet to contact the family.
“The problem we are having is that they are yet to contact the family.
“The number of the husband they can contact; they had already seized the husband’s phone. They collected the phone of the husband.
“The wife will now be in a problem and dilemma of who they will contact. When they attacked them, they collected the phone of the husband.”
