Tottenham Hotspur boss, Jose Mourinho, has reacted to his side’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Mourinho also named Lucas Moura as the best player on the pitch during Tottenham’s clash with West Ham at the London Stadium.
West Ham defeated Tottenham, thanks to two goals from Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard.
Moura did score a second-half goal for Mourinho’s side.
Speaking after the game, Mourinho Mourinho told a post-match press conference: “Thursday was not in the legs because we started with only one player that played 90 minutes which was Eric Dier.
“Lucas Moura played 65 minutes on Thursday and was the best player for our team.
“Nothing to do with that. The way we finished the game showed it was not a physical problem that stopped us from having a result.
“I think we did [have enough to win].
“Losing 1-0 at half time, you have to lift the players and play better in the second half, which we did.
“The first thing that happened is that amazing and ridiculous goal. You are playing against a team that fought in the second half. They defend. We attacked and created and were unlucky.”
