There is possibility of a resurgence of Ebola in Nigeria – NCDC

The BBC’s Hausa Service reports that the Nigerian Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has placed Nigeria on a “moderate stage” of possible Ebola outbreak following the outbreak in Guinea.
The NCDC said in a statement on its website that the action was taken because of its proximity to Guinea, Nigeria and other West African countries.
“Given the proximity of Nigeria, Guinea and other West African countries, Nigeria has been placed in the middle stage of the Ebola outbreak,” according to the NCDC.
Ebola broke out in Guinea on February 14, killing scores of people in the N’zerekore region.
Seven people were arrested after attending the funeral of a nurse on February 1, according to the NCDC.
