The independent petroleum marketers of Nigeria kano Branch has appealed to Kano state government to reduce ground rent charges for the development of their business and also Kano at large.
This was contained in a statement issued to PRIME TIME NEWS on Tuesday and signed by the Chief Press Secretary at the House of Assembly, Kano, Nura Bala Ajingi.
The chairman of the union Alh. Bashir Ahmad Danmalam stated this while paying a congratulations visit to the speaker Rt. Hon. Engr. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari at the house.
He said the union have made all necessary arrangement to ensure regular payment of consolidated revenue by the members as it was directed by the government with collaborative efforts of the house.
The chairman who commended the endeavours of the house to resolve tax issues of the members, he assured of giving maximum support and cooperation to the government and state assembly for recording the better result.
The chairman of Academic Staff Union of secondary schools Kano council Comrade Abdul Usman Yalo commended the speaker for his dedication to the education sector.
He however called on the government to make replacement of retired teachers and request for the support to build a secretariat and vehicle for the union’s mobility.
In another development, the Trusted Northern Youth Awareness of Nigeria has awarded Speaker Chidari with the honour of dedication on education and empowerment programs.
The chairman of the union Comrade Sani Uba Kwaru has said the organisation has been committed on academic training and self-reliance programs seeking for more support on the direction.
Also, Kano North Social Media led by Abdullahi Maitsidau and his counterpart of Chidari Awareness Female Forum Fatima Sadiq has congratulated the speaker and assured for more supports on enlightening youth and women on their right to vote, empowerment training and bring sanity on social media activities.
