Zamfara Purchases Estate, Hotel In Abuja – MD ZIPDC

Zamfara State Government has purchased a block 6 units of 3-bedroom estate and the Best Premier hotel all in the federal capital Abuja through it’s Investment and Property Development Company Limited (ZIPDC), the MD/CEO, Anas Hamisu Lawan has said.

In a press conference in his office yesterday in Gusau the state capital, the Managing Director, Anas Lawan, said the company was dormant before the present administration of Governor Matawalle came on board to curve it out of the state Ministry of Commerce and Industry as limited liability.

He further narrated keying into number of businesses including estate business and local transportation and the dispose of all abandoned shares through purchase of only active shares lucrative enough to help diversify and boost the state’s economy.

According to him, although shares business which was currently on depreciation, therefore, no longer a business the State Government should pay most needed attention upon as that of estate business, the development that led to the purchase of the estate located at Southend Estate Aviation District in Abuja.

He further discloses that, the purchase of the two buildings by the Zamfara State, would no doubt serve as an opportunity to reduce the rate of unemployment by employing staffers to work in the management of the two Zamfara owned Abuja-based properties.

“For the Best Premier hotel which was also purchased at the cost of N1.8 billion, is located at Cadastral zone, Wuse 2 Abuja, and all preparations were on course to employ indigenes of Zamfara who will work as managers and staffers and to commence operations by next month”, Anas has stated.
