The Emir of Karaye Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II has received the Sultan of Damagaram of Niger republic Alhaji Abubakar Sanda Umaru today in his Palace, Haruna Gunduwawa, the Information Officer at Karaye emirate council says.
The Sultan was on condolence and relationship strengthening between Karaye emirate and Damagaram Sultanate.
Welcoming the Sultan who was represented by the Galadima of Damagaram Alhaji Abdullahi Galadima, the Emir of Karaye Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II thanked the Sultan for visit which he described as historic.
Alhaji Dr. Abubakar II said, the visit will go long way in creating sustainable relationship between the two sister Emirates.
The Emir has appreciated the Damagaram Sultanate for commiserating with people of Karaye Emirate over the death of late Makama of Karaye Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso.
Earlier, the Sultan of Damagaram Alhaji Abubakar Sanda Umaru said, he was at Emir’s palace to condole him over the passing away of Makama of Karaye whom the Sultan described as gentleman and father of all.
The Sultan who was represented by the Galadima of Damagaram Alhaji Abdullahi Galadima further stated that, the visit was also aimed at creating sustainable Royal relationship between the two Kingdoms.
The Sultan remembered how United Kano and Damagaram are before divided by the colonial masters.
He then prayed for the late Makama of Karaye to rest in peace and forgiveness of God Almighty.
