From Rabilu Abubakar, Damaturu.
The Yobe State pilgrims commission has postponed till further notice the enlightenment exercise for its 2021 pilgrims.
This followed the recent announcement on the cancellation of this year’s hajj exercise due to covid 19 pandemic by the Saudi authorities.
This disclosure was made by the Executive Chairman of the Commission Alhaji Bukar Kime (Aji Sudani of Damaturu) while addressing the Intending muslim Pilgrims that came for the daily enlightenment exercise at the headquarters of the Commission in Damaturu.
He enjoined them to take the cancelation of the 2021 Hajj activities in good faith and asked them to wait for further directives from NAHCON.
Kime assured them that, their hard earned monies are safe and that the Yobe State Pilgrims Commission has already concluded all necessary arrangements either to refund them their monies or enrolled them over for the 2022 Hajj exercise.
