The management of La Liga, the football league of Spain has described Kano state and Nigeria as key to its development in Africa.
In a letter written to Kano State Football Authority (FA), dated 22nd October, 2020, the management expressed excitement over the huge support base it has garnered in Kano, the second most populous state in the country.
The letter, signed by Oscar Mayo Pardo, LaLiga’s Director for Marketing and International Development, appreciated the fans of the league in Kano for what it described as “immense support”.
The management therefore restated commitment to continue to bring more events to Kano and Nigeria in general, noting that it is in constant coordination with its delegates and team in the country.
” LaLiga has always seen Nigeria as an important part of our development in Africa and we.
“Also having fans in Kano, is always a very welcoming thing to see. We do appreciate the fans immensely for all their support,” part of the letter reads.
“Our aim is to continue with more events for Kano and Nigeria as a whole. We are in constant coordination with our delegate and team in Nigeria for creating new events and activities for the fans.
“We know that the coming year, there will be more events and activities for the fans.
” It is good to know we have your support. Your appreciation gives us great encouragement,” said the letter.
