The Emir of Bichi Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero in Kano state has charged federal and state governments to pay more attention and concentrate on the fight against insecurity in the country.
The Emir made the call when he visited Minjibir Local Government to commiserate with the families of Alhaji Abdullahi Kalos who was kidnapped by suspected bandits in his house on Tuesday.
Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero said there is need for the all tiers of government in the country to put their heads together in order to overcome the security challenges across the country.
“It’s the responsibilities of every leaders to protect lives and properties of every citizens in their domains which now need a serious attention by the government and all the security stakeholders in the country.” Emir said.
The Emir however prayed for Allah’s intervention in the situation Nigeria is currently in.
The Emir re-affirmed his determination to support any move that would assist in ending the current banditry, kidnapping and other criminals activities that is worrying the people across the country.
On his part, the divisional police officer of Minjibir police station, CSP Muhammad Gwarzo said the incident started around 2a.m on Tuesday and they spent hours exchanging fire with kidnappers before they could chase them away from Minjibir town.
“It was later we realized that the kidnappers have gone with that businessman Alhaji Abdullahi Kalos.” He said.
CSP Muhammad Gwarzo told the Emir that there was no lost of life during the incident and all the station’s Guns were intact and prayed for the abducted business man to be released in good health.
Also, a son of the abducted businessman, Dayyabu Abdullahi Minjibir who thanked the Emir for visiting them.
It was gathered that the families of the abducted businessman have not been contacted yet.
