GOC commissions 46 renovated, 4 newly-built classes in Kano school, sports facility at barrack





The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1-Division Nigerian Army Kaduna, Maj-Gen Usman Mohammed has commissioned newly renovated 46, and four newl classes at Army Day Secondary School (Boys) and Command Children School, Bukavu barracks Kano.


The GOC who also commissioned the newly constructed 200 capacity 3-Brigade Sports Hall in the barracks on Wednesday said the projects were carried out by the Commander, 3 Brigade Kano, Brig-Gen Bamidele Alabi.


According to him, the projects were carried out through the special intervention of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen Yusuf Buratai.


He said that the construction of the new classes, and the renovated ones were carried out to provide a good learning atmosphere for the students.


Mohammed added that the provision of a good learning atmosphere was aimed at encouraging the students to pay more attention to their studies.


According to him, the project was also aimed at providing the students with quality education to make them future leaders.


The GOC added that the construction of the new sports hall was aimed at ensuring that the soldiers remain fit always.


He called on the students and the soldiers to make proper use of the facilities.
