Uptade: No Ransom Was Paid For The Rescue Of Kankara Students – Katsina Governor Says


Upon the arrival of 344 kidnapped students at Katsina State Government House on Friday morning, Governor Aminu Bello Masari says his administration has not offered a penny to the abductors of the boys for their release.

Masari, who addressed the students at the state’s government house with heavy heart, says “you have suffered physically and psychologically.”

He also commended the security operatives for rescuing the abducted students promptly, adding that his administration has not given up since their abduction.

Earlier, the Brigade Commander 17 Brigade Nigerian Army, Gen. Wahab Idris says the rescue of the abducted students was a combined effort of the Nigerian Army and other security operatives.
