Kano Lawmaker Launches 100 Million Empowerment Scheme


The member representing Dala Federal Constituency under the platform for the All Progressives Congress APC in Kano state Alh Babangida Alhassan Yakudima launches 100 million empowerment scheme to his constituents.

The scheme launched in Government Girls Secondary School Dala in the presence of APC stalwarts in the state entails the distribution of 150 Sewing Machines, 150 Motocycles, 135 Tricycles and more than 15 cars.

Speaking at the occasion, the legislator Alh Babangida Alhassan Yakudima said “The scheme was aimed at supporting the beneficiaries and encouraged our youths to be self-reliant.


He added that ”The ‎programme is driven by the need to encourage our youths to be self-employed and reduced youth restiveness and other anti-social behaviours among others”.‎

On his part, The governor of Kano State Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who was represented by Alhaji Nasiru Aliko Koki lauded the lawmaker for this giant stride and urged other lawmakers to emulate him.

He said that the scheme will go a long way in complementing the efforts of the Kano State Government toward addressing unemployment challenges especially among youths in the state.‎

On his part, the Chairman of APC in Dala Local Government Manniru Haruna Abubakar said this gesture was the first of its kind by a lawmaker in the federal constituency stressing their full support to the lawmaker and assured him of their maximum support.
