The Kano State commissioner of Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, has observed that Basic Healthcare Provision Fund initiative has an impact on improving access to quality care by the people in the state, the Chief Information Officer, Kano Ministry of Health, Hadiza Mustapha Namadi says in a statement she signed on Tuesday.
Dr. Tsanyawa said the fund will make positive impact since its introduction will strengthen the whole health system and improve health indices especially maternal morbidity and mortality rates.
He made the statement during an orientation workshop for Kano state oversight committee on Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF).
He added that BCHPF will be implemented in the 3 getaways which include the Primary Healthcare Management Board, State Contributory Health Management Agency and the state Emergency Medical Treatment committee.
While commending the efforts of the health friendly Governor His Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR (Khaddimul Islam) for investing a lot in improving healthcare system in the state, Dr. Tsanyawa also thanked all the partners supporting the state especially the Lafiya program with many interventions.
