Prepaid meter complaints: KEDCO moves to improve operational efficiency

The Management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) says it has moved to improve operational efficiency to end prepaid meters-related complaints in its franchise.

According to the Management, as a result of the implementation of the MYTO 2020 service reflective tariff, meter tokens purchased after September 01, 2020 are rejected by KEDCO prepaid meters, thus requiring a key change token that will re-programmed the meter to accept the new tariff.

This has caused a surge of complaints from our customers on the inability to load purchased credits and the slow turnaround in resolving these requests.
However, we have moved to improve operational efficiency in that regard as a customer-centric organization that prioritizes the satisfaction of numerous customers by developing a portal for reporting all meter issues.

We assure all our customers that issues related to meters have been given the needed attention by KEDCO as customers with meter-related complaints will begin to feel the positive impact of such attention.

Customers can make their requests and receive email and sms feedback. The portal can be reached through the url or call 070055551111 or contact our nearest office.
