JUST IN : Azman Air resume Operations


Azman Air resumed operations today (Friday), after receiving approval to restart Operations from Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The approval dated  7th July 2020 and the airlines is to commence Operations on 10th July and signed by NCAA Director General, Captain Musa S. Nuhu. 

The NCAA confirmed that Azman Air complied with the provision of AOL of 5th, May, with ref. (DG13/20) and advisory circular NCAA-AC-FSG-001 on post COVID-19 restart guidelines as well as health protocol, thereby authorized to resume commercial operations.

The Managing Director director of Azman Air , Mr Faisal Abdulmunaf told reporters in Kano on Thursday late evening that Azman was 100 percent reinvigorated to embark on the new normal operations despite the huge impact of COVID-19 on the industry.

Mr Abdulmunaf, expressed satisfaction on the certification by the NCAA to hit the skies after over three months shut down. 

The Managing Director revealed that the airline has met all provision for safety measures for staff and passengers on board.

He recounted the hard decision taken to suspend a large number of its operational staff due to economic lockdown, revealing that all staff are being recalled to resume their duties. 

“ We are glad that Azman is returning to the skies in the new normal restart operations. We have gotten the NCAA certification and our first flight is scheduled for Lagos- Abuja by 1pm tomorrow Friday. We are more than ready and I can say we are 100 and one percent prepared to commence commercial flight. 

“ All our aircrafts have undergone required technical overhaul and our staff have been recalled and undergone the new normal protocols and we are just good to go. We are so painful the management needs to undergo the hard decision to relieve our staff for time being and thank God things are getting normal after all and we have started recalling our staff back on duty”.
