Borno Zulum To Construct Houses For IDPs

Displaced people currently taking refuge in Kirawa in the Republic of Cameroun have been assured of Government readiness to resettle them soon.

This was disclosed by the Borno state Gorvernor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum when he paid sympathy visit to the people as part of government effort to give every community a sense if belonging and confidence.

The Governor said he would soon commence the reconstruction of their houses so that they can return to their home and start their farming activities, adding that more security agencies will be provided to ensure their safety.

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, used the forum to express his appreciation to the government of Cameroon for hosting their people in their country, and called on the IDPs to respect the authority and be good citizens at all times.

Assuring that government will provide their basic needs, additional hunters and civilian JTF to complement the military.

Responding earlier, one of the IDPs who was full of gratitude to Governor Babagana for his passion and the love to the IDPs appealed to him to make effort and resettle them back to their homes, as well as reinforcement of security for their safety after resettling them.

He used forum to express appreciation tothe military and other security agencies for maintaining peace in the area and assured them of government support to enable them to discharge their duty effectively.
