Matawalle Condoles With Family Of Late Zamfara Lawmaker, Jekada

The Zamfara State Governor Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle has condoled with the family of the late Zamfara State lawmaker, Honourable Tukur Jekada Birnin Tudu who died on Sunday 31th May,2020 at Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital, Sokoto as a result of brief illness.

This was contained in a statement issued to PRIME TIME NEWS on Tuesday by Mr. Yusuf Idris Gusau, the Director General Media, Public Enlightenment and Communication Zamfara State Government House, Gusau.

Matawalle described late Tukur Jekada as God fearing and hard working person who dedicated most of his life in worshiping Allah.

He stated that his honesty, Justice and fearlessness are going to be missed by many especially the state political class.

The Governor said his death is a great loss not only to his family but to the people of Bakura Local which he represented at the state legislature and the State at large.

Governor Matawalle also prayed Almighty Allah to reward him with Jannatul firdaus and give his family, Bakura Local Government and the Bakura Emirate Council the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Matawalle also donated the sum of 5 Million Naira and 20 bags each of Rice and Maize to the family of the deceased lawmaker.

The Governor was accompanied by the Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Honourable Nasiru Maazu Magarya, Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru, PDP State Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha Gusau and his Exco, Members of the State Executive Council and Local Government Council chairmen among others.

Responding on behalf of the State lawmakers and the family of the deceased, Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Nasiru Maazu Magarya thanked the State Governor for the love and concern he showed to both the family of late Tukur Jekada and the State House of Assembly praying Allah to reward him abundantly.
