The Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger has on Tuesday announced that the academic activities of the university will commence on 21st June, 2020.
The university made this announcement via it’s official Twitter handle, adding that the decision followed the gradual ease of lockdown as follows by the authorities.
“School shall commence full academic activities on the above stated date and students are advised to read their books as examination shall commence immediately and proceed with the current semester.” It said.
The university urged the returning students to bring 3 big size hand sanitizers and 5 face masks as your donation to the university toward fighting the COVID 19 Pandemic.
“Students are advised to pay the required tuition fee as usual with the school teller indicating exactly your registered name in school on the payment deposit slip.” It added.
The management however urged students to frequently use their android (smart) phones, saying some activities will be carried out online.
“Be informed that, Temperature check shall be carried out to ascertain sound health of all students, staff and other individuals entering the university campus before anyone shall allowed passage.”
The students of the university have also been urged to frequently be washing their hands with soap, use of face mask by all students and staff within the campus in the course of activities and observe physical and social distancing at all registration points while they pay sum of N30,000 within two (2) weeks of resumption to avoid penalty charges.
