Zamfara State Speaker Mourns Late Hon. Jekada Birnin-Tudu

A serving member of the state House of Assembly, Tukur Jekada Birnin Tudu who died on Sunday afternoon at a government Hospital in Sokoto has been laid to rest in his hometown Brinin Tudu, Bakura local government area of Zamfara state.

Late Tukur Jekada according to the Public Relations Officer of Zamfara state House of Assembly, Mustapha Jafaru Kaura was before his death a lawmaker representing Bakura local government area under the platform of Poeples Democratic Party (PDP).

“The ranking member of the of the state House of Assembly late Tukur died after a protracted illiness associated with chronic diabetes complications.” Jafaru Kaura said.

His funeral prayer was led by Imam Bello Tambuwal and attended by the speaker of the House, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya his Deputy, Musa Bawa Musa Yan-Kuzo all House of Assembly members some members of the state executive council party stalwarts and some traditional rulers.

Speaking shortly after the funeral prayer,the speaker of the state house of Assembly Nasiru Magarya extolled the good virtues of late Tukur Jekada which are hard-working dedication persevoarance dedication to the worshipping of Allah.

Speaker Magarya while condoling with family members of the deceased and entire poeple of Bakura local government pointed out that late Tukur Jekada would forever be remembered and prayed Allah to grant him Al-Jannah Firdausi.

The state chief lawmaker later announced the state government donation of forty bags consisting of Rice and maize as well as cash donation of five million naira to the family of late Tukur Jekada Birnin Tudu.

It could be recalled that since inception of democracy late Tukur Jekada Birnin Tudu is the fouth serving member that died in active service of the state house of Assembly.

The first was Bello Muhammad Faru of Maradun, late Bello Makau Ruwan Dorowa of Maru North constituency late Saidu Bawa Bagega of Anka local government as well as late Tukur Jekada Birnin Tudu also of Bakura local government area.

The speaker and his entourage had since returned back to Gusau the state capital.
