2020 Democratic Day: You’ve Done Nothing To Celebrate – Sokoto APC Tells Governor Tambuwal

By Muhammad Bashir

The Sokoto State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC, has felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari, all elected and appointed officials under APC party, Sokoto state citizens and Nigerians on the annual occasion of Democracy Day, which take place on every 29th May.

In a statement issued to PRIME TIME NEWS on Monday and signed by Sokoto state APC Chairman, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Acida, expressed dissatisfaction with Sokoto state governor’s performance over the year,  “it is a tradition for governments to take stock of their performances during the past twelve months, but to our chagrin, the Sokoto State Government has maintained a deaf silence.” He added.

He lamented that Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal had done nothing in the state that people of the state and the government officials will celebrate.

“Even those that were sympathetic to the PDP in the past, have now broken ranks with the PDP led government in Sokoto State, this is obvious because the government has failed in the provision of infrastructure.” He said.

Alhaji Isa Acida also said that the Tambuwal’s led-administration has woefully failed in the providing welfare even to its supporters.

He however expressed fear that the government may use the prevailing Corona Virus pandemic as an excuse to cover their unpardonable failures.

He said that Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal had since his assumption of power under highly controversial circumstances, not executed any project that will lead Sokoto State out of the much acclaimed poverty, for which the State has won the first position, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

The people of Sokoto State are in a state of panic to learn from non other than the Governor, that the vehicle in which they are traveling, and to which he is the driver, has no brakes.
