As Muslim faithful observe Eid El Fitr Sallah celebrations on Sunday, Senator representing Kano Central, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has rejoiced with Muslims across the Country.
Malam Shekarau in a statement personally signed and made available to journalists on Saturday, reminded faithful to remain resolute in spiritual devotion against the global health pandemic even after the end of the 30 days fasting month of Ramadan.
“This year’s celebration came at a unique time that most Muslims may not enjoy the festivities due to the presence of Coronavirus world wide.
“This is part of the sacrifice we must make to help various governments fight the pandemic which has crippled both social and economic activities world wide”.
The former Kano state governor urged Muslims not to relent in prayers for the Almighty to bring to an end soon the scourge of this pandemic just as he was optimistic with the various policies and strategies put in place concern authorities to interrupt the spread.
“I am optimistic with the policies put in place by the government and strict adherence of the various safety and protective measures as spelt out by the presidential Task Force on Covid 19, the end of this pandemic is in sight.
“We pray for soul of all those who have lost their loved ones during this period and wish all Muslim faithfuls a hitch free Sallah” Shekarau said.
