The management of Inland Containers Nigeria Limited (ICNL) has donated food items that include cooking oil, bags of rice, tomato paste and noodles to Railway community members which serve as the firm’s host community for ages.
Presenting the materials donated to the community leadership in Kano, the ICNL deport manger Mr Michael Kajola revealed that, the management of ICNL has deemed it fit to as a matter of concern donate to the host community especially during the lockdown period to ease the hardship posed by the no movement order.
“For ages we have been doing business here and the community has been very cooperative towards the successful conduct of our businesses here. Therefore, the ICNL management found it necessary to assist our host community through the donation of food items that will assist in cushioning the wrath of the lockdown order on community members,” he said.
Similarly, while receiving the items the community leader of Railway community Kano, Alhaji Shehu Abdullahi commended the efforts done by the company in rendering assistance to members of the community during this period of want.
According to him, the donation will surely go a long way in strengthening the business bond as well as the mutual bond between the community and the company. He them urged all well meaning business firm in the area to emulate ICNL
