Lockdown: Abuja based foundation donates food items to Kano communities

An Abuja based O.B Lulu-Briggs Foundation; a privately funded registered charity organisation has donated food items to Kano communities as part of its humanitarian activities to cushion the harsh effect of the lockdown order during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While presenting the donated items to Kano state emirate, representative of the foundation in the state Malam Shafi’i Idris Zakirai stated that, the foundation has found it necessary to assist the vulnerable in the little way it could to ease their hardship during the lockdown.

According to him, the foundation is presenting 600 bags of 5kg each to the vulnerable in the communities adding that, the foundation is hoping that though not much the items donated will do much to the beneficiaries.

Receiving the items, the Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero revealed that, the gesture done is not a surprising one as the founder of the foundation is known everywhere across the country for his philanthropic activities in support for the vulnerable. The Emir thanked the foundation for the gesture and urged others to emulate same.
