114 PHCs accredited to provide free services in Gombe

All 114 primary health care facilities in Gombe state have been accredited to provide free healthcare services to indigenes of the state.

The Gombe state Commissioner for health Dr Habu Dahiru, said this in Gombe during the orientation programme on basic health care provision fund implementation process and signing of service level agreement.

Said about twenty five thousand less privileged and vulnerable group benefited and had free access health care from the scheme.

According to Dahiru Gombe state government has paid the expected counterpart funding of 100 million to fast track the process for giving priority to health sector.

“Governor had warned that the money must be used judiciously, anything countrary to that would no be accepted” he said.

In his remarks the executive secretary GSPHCDA Dr Abdurraham Shu’aibu, said already 114 primary health care facilities had been accredited for providing free service accros the state.

Added that these primary health care centers were to improved the health care of people of the state.

The executive secretary Go health Dr Abubakar Musa, said the objectives of the meeting was to sign service level agreement with service provider signaling the commencement of the scheme in the state.

Also to understand Basic health contributory fund, refferal pathway and protection.
